The first open-source Linux driver for the ASUS ZenVision lid OLED

Developers have successfully reverse-engineered ASUS's proprietary protocol for the embedded OLED display in the laptop lid. According to Adafruit Blog, the result is zenvision-linux—the first open-source driver for the three point five inch monochrome screen in the ASUS Zenbook Fourteen X OLED Space Edition. Using Ghidra and MyASUS, engineers created a userspace driver that brings this specialized hardware under Linux control.
