Trump ‘border czar’ says ICE officer in Maine killing should not have cleared vetting

Tom Homan, the Trump administration's border czar, says an ICE officer at the center of a fatal shooting in Maine should never have cleared the agency's vetting. The Guardian reports that the officer's two ex-wives had previously accused him of abuse, allegations CNN's Dana Bash raised directly with Homan during Sunday's State of the Union interview. Homan agreed the officer's eligibility to serve should have been questioned before he was ever hired.
