Veterinary students denied paid training

ABC News reports that Australia's government has expanded its paid university placement programs, but veterinary students have been left out. Many vet students must complete a full year of compulsory practical training as part of their degree. The exclusion means they're doing mandatory work without the pay that other placement program students are now receiving.
