A nineteen-year-old animal science graduate in the West Midlands said she finds almost nothing available locally, and employers in nearby Birmingham, which is ten miles away but requires a two-hour bus ride, won't consider her for positions. The combination of scarce opportunities and difficult commutes is making job-hunting especially challenging for young people in these areas.
