Russia to extend gasoline export ban until end of year

business

Russia will extend its gasoline export ban through the end of 2026, per Meduza. Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak made the announcement, citing the fuel crisis from Ukrainian strikes on Russian oil refineries. The ban, imposed in April, extends beyond its original July 31 deadline. Novak also said the diesel export ban will be lifted once market conditions improve—a move meant to help refineries manage reduced processing without oversupply.
