Scottish businessman and philanthropist Sir Ian Wood dies aged 84

Sir Ian Wood, the Aberdeen businessman and philanthropist, has died at eighty-four, BBC News reports. He built his family's boat repair firm into a major oil and gas engineering company. Wood was also known for his charitable giving in the north of Scotland.
