Rampant Northwestern Wildfires Will Blanket the US With More Smoke Today

More than one and a half million acres are burning across Oregon and Washington, and the resulting smoke is expected to spread as far as Florida. io9 reports the plume will blanket much of the U.S. today, a reminder of how far wildfire smoke can travel once it reaches the jet stream.
