Families in London temporary housing told they cannot use in-built air conditioning

Homeless families placed in temporary housing at Britannia Point in Colliers Wood, southwest London, were told the building's built-in air conditioning wasn't available to them, according to the Guardian. Two children ended up hospitalized during recent heatwaves after conditions in the glass-fronted block grew unbearably hot, and other families reported young children falling ill as well. The Guardian reports the management company has since told residents they can now use the air conditioning.
