tech

Fans regularly ask why Sony can't just revive its classic Walkman, but per Adafruit Blog, the answer is more complex than retro marketing. Akira Tanaka, a former Sony mechanical engineer who designed multiple Walkman generations spanning cassette, CD, and digital formats, explains that revival would mean 'starting over.' Decades of discontinuation have rendered the Walkman unmakeable.
