Man convicted in Idaho college student killings seeks to withdraw guilty plea
world
Bryan Kohberger, convicted last year of killing four University of Idaho students in a 2022 knife attack, is now trying to withdraw his guilty plea. The Guardian reports Kohberger claims he only pleaded guilty because of bad legal advice, and he's seeking a new trial. The victims — Madison Mogen, Kaylee Goncalves, Xana Kernodle, and Ethan Chapin — were college students in their early twenties found dead in their off-campus home. A judge will now have to decide whether his plea stands or whether the case heads back to trial.
