Venezuela declared a state of emergency today after two major earthquakes struck the country. According to France 24, the quakes measured seven point two and seven point five magnitude, with more than twenty aftershocks following. The powerful tremors caused significant infrastructure damage and forced the closure of Caracas' main international airport, Maiquetia, which sustained serious structural damage.
