France wildfire: Residents douse embers with water after blaze destroys 170 homes in Le Porge

A wildfire in Le Porge, in southwestern France's Gironde region, has destroyed at least one hundred seventy homes, according to Euronews. Residents are now spraying water on smouldering forest embers to keep the blaze from reigniting, as smoke still rises over the scorched landscape. Recovery efforts in the area are just beginning.
