Wind, solar and heat pumps offer EU escape from LNG dependence by 2030, study says

Per Euronews, a new analysis shows that if the EU meets its solar and wind deployment targets, gas demand could be cut by about one-quarter by twenty thirty—savings exceeding the liquefied natural gas expected to be imported from Qatar. Europe's climate transition, the analysis notes, is also creating a unique opportunity for China.
