Several US schools to install pepper-spraying drones to respond to school shootings

Several US schools are adding pepper-spraying drones to their emergency response plans for possible school shootings. The Guardian reports the drones come from Campus Guardian Angel, an Austin, Texas-based response capability company, with installations already set at four schools in Georgia, three in Florida, and one in Colorado. The company says the approach draws on tactics used against Russian attacks during the war in Ukraine, where pepper-spray drones proved effective at close range. The move is likely to draw criticism from those who'd rather see resources go toward preventing school shootings in the first place.
