LoRa Radio Bonnet with OLED – The Raspberry Pi Official Magazine, Issue 167 @rpimagazine

The Raspberry Pi Official Magazine's latest issue features the Adafruit LoRa Radio Bonnet, a hardware add-on that mounts onto any standard Raspberry Pi computer. The bonnet brings long-range radio connectivity, supporting either nine-fifteen megahertz for North America and Australia or eight-sixty-eight megahertz for Europe—you configure which band in software based on your region. It pairs a small OLED display for status messages with three buttons you can use to build a user interface or send test transmissions. Adafruit reports that CircuitPython support keeps the setup process simpler than some similar boards. There's a tradeoff: the radio module uses an older SX twelve-seventy-six LoRa transceiver, which doesn't match the power efficiency of newer designs, though the well-documented and proven chipset is reliable.
