New York offers college admission for residents unenrolled from Howard University

politics

More than five hundred first-year students were unenrolled from Howard University, a historically Black institution in Washington DC, for missed tuition payments. New York residents among the affected now have an alternative: Governor Kathy Hochul announced emergency admission pathways at City University of New York and State University of New York campuses. The Guardian reports that expedited late admissions review will be available at schools including Buffalo, Albany, Binghamton, Oneonta, Stony Brook, and New Paltz.
