Senate sets up votes to sanction Russia for Ukraine war

The Senate is preparing votes on new sanctions targeting Russian officials, oligarchs, their family members, foreign persons, Russian banks and financial institutions, and the Russian shadow fleet. Per CNBC, the sanctions are being advanced in response to Russia's war in Ukraine.
