Gold Coast nurse with rare disorder awaiting fourth kidney

Daniel Hoepner, a Gold Coast nurse, was born with congenital nephrotic syndrome of the Finnish type, a rare genetic kidney disease. He received his first transplant at age six and a second about sixteen years later, after the first one failed. According to ABC News, he's now in his thirties and awaiting his fourth kidney transplant.
