Shares in Asian chip firms plunge further as AI sell-off continues

The Guardian reports that shares in Asian semiconductor companies are plunging after South Korean chipmaker SK Hynix disappointed investors with weaker-than-expected results. Seoul's Kospi index, which is dominated by chip manufacturers, fell as much as twelve point six percent on Wednesday, building on an approximately eleven percent drop from the previous day. The index has now hit its lowest level since early April as the broader sell-off in AI-linked stocks continues to hammer the sector.
