Heatwave comes into southwest of France as firefighters keep battling blaze

A major wildfire in southwest France has stabilised, and officials have let nearly sixty thousand evacuees head home, France 24 reports. But fourteen smaller blazes have reignited, and firefighters are now racing to contain them just as the year's fourth heatwave moves in. The rising heat is expected to make an already grueling firefighting effort even harder.
