Can a 16-year-old really understand quantum teleportation?
science
Physics World reports that the University of Hertfordshire recently hosted a five-day course challenging the idea that quantum mechanics is beyond high school students. Forty-five teenagers aged sixteen to eighteen learned Quantum Pictorialism, a diagrammatic approach that treats visual representations as rigorous mathematics. By the end of the week, students had mastered the quantum teleportation protocol—with one even confidently presenting it to the entire class. The success suggests that with the right framework, quantum theory is genuinely accessible to curious teenagers.
