Hackers steal sensitive data from Department for Education and police

Hackers have targeted the UK Department for Education and a police database, exposing more than seven hundred forty thousand pieces of data, The Guardian reports. The stolen information includes email addresses and phone numbers belonging to parents, school staff, government officials, senior school leaders, university employees, police officers, and members of the public.
