Glen Hansard: a tireless, warm-hearted troubadour whose music brought people together

Irish singer-songwriter Glen Hansard has died at fifty-six in a motorcycle crash on the outskirts of Dublin, according to The Conversation. Hansard fronted the rock band The Frames for nearly two decades before starring in the 2007 film Once, a role that earned him an Academy Award for Best Original Song. He'd released new music just last month, and off stage he founded Dublin's Christmas Eve Busk, an annual fundraiser for the city's homeless community.
