Live: ‘Almost no flames left’ in wildfire near Madrid as southern Europe remains on high alert

The wildfire that had been smouldering near Madrid is nearly out, with Spanish authorities saying Thursday that almost no flames remain and the burned area hasn't grown in several days. Still, southern Europe stays on high alert, according to France 24, with French authorities battling a punishing mix of heat, drought and strong winds, and three firefighters killed in Greece.
