Man who stabbed author Salman Rushdie convicted of ‘terrorism’ charges

A US court has convicted the man who stabbed author Salman Rushdie in 2022 on terrorism charges, Al Jazeera English reports. He was already serving a twenty-five-year sentence for the assault, which left Rushdie blind in one eye. Rushdie, the Booker Prize-winning novelist behind "The Satanic Verses," had lived under threat since a 1989 fatwa was issued against him.
