France wildfires: Risk remains 'extremely high' despite slight weather improvement

France 24 reports that Interior Minister Laurent Nunez warned on Thursday that France faces an 'extremely high' wildfire risk, despite slight improvements in weather conditions. Higher humidity and weaker winds have helped, but on Wednesday the country dealt with twenty-six fires nationwide. Nunez attributed the persistent danger to drought and highly combustible vegetation.
