Labour asks Electoral Commission to investigate Reform UK over donations

Labour's new chair Bridget Phillipson has asked the Electoral Commission to investigate donations to Reform UK. The Guardian reports that a convicted fraudster transferred more than two million dollars to his mother days before she donated to the party in twenty twenty-four. Reform UK's Robert Jenrick says the party is confident it followed all rules at the time, though the Electoral Commission will now examine whether the donations were recorded correctly.
