‘Rob has the bucks cash’: NSW Liberals used Reformers funds to pay for ‘personal expenditure’, Icac hears

The Guardian reports that New South Wales authorities are investigating allegations against young conservative Liberal Party power brokers accused of soliciting illegal donations. During testimony to the state's anti-corruption commission, Robert Assaf of the conservative factional group the Reformers disclosed that some of those funds were used to pay for a bucks night. He also told the inquiry that money was funneled through a lobbying firm with the aim of achieving 'maximum benefit from a tax perspective.'
