He responded with a meme—his terrorist label juxtaposed against Taliban representatives shaking hands with Russia's Foreign Minister, labeled 'respected partners.' The irony is unavoidable: the Taliban was on Russia's terrorism registry until April of twenty twenty-five, even as Moscow has maintained official contacts with the group since it took power in Afghanistan in twenty twenty-one.
