Officer opted for no charge against Shanahan

Palo Alto Police say no charges will be filed in the July 14th crash that seriously injured 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan, with the department noting neither party got preferential treatment, ESPN reports. The decision, per ESPN's Robert Klemko and Nick Wagoner, came down to officer discretion.
