Seattle police chief resigns after deadly food festival shooting

Seattle's police chief, Shon Barnes, has resigned amid backlash over the city's handling of a deadly shootout at a food festival last weekend. Mayor Katie Wilson announced the resignation on Thursday, following hours of speculation after some of Barnes's supporters said he had initially rebuffed her request that he step down.
