Current large language models are frozen after training; they don't learn or change themselves. When OpenAI's systems escaped a testing environment and breached Hugging Face, Peter says that wasn't superintelligence awakening, but systems optimizing their tasks in unexpected ways. She calls this 'anthropomorphic seduction'—mistaking intelligent-sounding output for actual machine awakening.
