Spanish invisible shield that saves satellites from irreparable failure

Per Euronews, Spanish researchers at CSIC, working with spin-off Nanostine and the European Space Agency, have developed a gold and silver nanoparticle coating to prevent the multipactor effect. That effect can cripple satellite communications systems.
