Custom Beach Robot Handles the Hard Work

tech

Hauling beach gear through sand is tedious work, and even a wheeled cart can feel like too much effort. Hackaday reports that one maker built a remote-controlled robot to handle the job instead. Built from a salvaged e-bike cargo rack and powered by an ESP32, the cart uses two independent motors for steering and includes safety features like obstacle detection and night lights. Control comes via a smartphone app, making it a practical—if not yet autonomous—alternative to dragging everything yourself.
