Cop who abetted fatal abuse of Myanmar maid loses appeal, gets more jail time

A High Court appeal has failed for Kelvin Chelvam, a police officer convicted over his role in the fatal abuse of Myanmar domestic worker Piang Ngaih Don, who weighed just twenty-four kilograms when she died. Channel NewsAsia reports his jail term was increased as a result of the dismissed appeal.
