Australia's eSafety Commissioner says court action against Telegram is significant. Per Julie Inman Grant, the platform allegedly failed to detect and remove pro-terror material. She told the ABC that while platforms may be doing content moderation, they're not meeting the standard Australian law requires. If Telegram doesn't comply with an adverse court ruling, it could face contempt charges.
