At least eighteen people have died as nearly fifty thousand migrants crossed from Morocco into Spain's north African enclave of Ceuta within twenty-four hours, according to France 24. Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez was set to travel to the city Friday as authorities respond to the surge. Ceuta, a Spanish territory bordering Morocco, has long been a flashpoint for crossings into the European Union.
