Renowned Nepali mountaineer Nirmal Purja among missing climbers after avalanche on Broad Peak

Nepali mountaineer Nirmal Purja is among the missing after an avalanche struck Broad Peak, Euronews reports. Purja was leading an expedition of ten climbers on the mountain. He made headlines in 2019 as the first person to summit all fourteen of the world's peaks above eight thousand meters, doing it in just one hundred eighty-nine days.
