About 49,000 migrants enter Spanish territory of Ceuta in 24 hours, officials say

BBC News reports that about forty-nine thousand migrants entered Ceuta, a Spanish enclave on the North African coast, in just twenty-four hours. That surge represents more than half the territory's population of roughly eighty-three thousand six hundred.
