Boss of £300m used-car firm was ousted after ‘orchestrated plan’ by investors, judge rules

business

According to The Guardian, a high court judge has ruled that Peter Waddell, sixty, was forced out as chief executive of Big Motoring World in twenty twenty-four by the company's private equity backers in what was a pre-conceived and orchestrated plan. The three-hundred-million-pound Kent-based dealership descended into open warfare as a result, and the judge found the coup caused unfair prejudice to the investment company holding the majority stake. Waddell was also found to have been properly dismissed for gross misconduct.
