After two years, a Warsaw court just released the man accused of orchestrating attacks on Russian oppositionists

A Warsaw court has released Anatoly Blinov from pretrial detention, placing him under police supervision after nearly two years in custody. Blinov is accused of orchestrating attacks on Russian opposition figures, including politician Leonid Volkov in both Vilnius and New York, as well as an attack on Alexandra Petrachkova, wife of economist Maxim Mironov. Meduza reports that prosecutors say a single person ordered all the attacks, though that person's identity was revealed only in a closed session. Prosecutors had sought to keep him detained over flight risk, but the defense argued Polish law caps pretrial detention at two years — the case now continues with Blinov free but under supervision.
