Is the cyclosporiasis outbreak slowing? Test-makers are hopeful

Per The Guardian, the maker of a popular cyclosporiasis test said the outbreak may be slowing, citing declining test positivity. But that drop could reflect fewer people taking tests rather than fewer infections. The outbreak has now surpassed eighteen thousand suspected and confirmed cases, the nation's largest on record. In the Midwest, cases in nine states have been linked to contaminated iceberg lettuce from Taylor Farms' Mexico operations.
