Singapore exploring enhancements to PayNow such as reduced payment steps, integration with NETS QR: DPM Gan

Singapore is refining its digital payments ecosystem. According to Channel NewsAsia, Deputy Prime Minister Gan Kim Yong is driving an initiative to integrate PayNow with NETS QR codes while reducing payment steps. A pilot program launching by the end of twenty twenty-six will allow customers using PayNow-enabled apps to pay directly at merchants displaying NETS QR codes—trimming friction from what's already one of the world's most seamless payment systems.
