Sri Lanka sentences two officials to death for not stopping Easter bombings

Sri Lanka has sentenced two former security officials to death for failing to stop the 2019 Easter bombings. According to Al Jazeera English, the sentences were handed down over their inaction ahead of the attacks, which killed over 250 people at churches and hotels across the country.
