More than 25,000 children lose previous legal protections, as federal contract ends

More than twenty-five thousand unaccompanied immigrant children are losing legal representation as a federal contract funding those services expired Friday, NPR News reports. The program had provided legal guidance to help the young people navigate immigration proceedings.
