Here's how engineers plan to save the satellite sent to save NASA's Swift mission

A rescue satellite called Link went into an uncontrolled spin last week while attempting to save NASA's Swift gamma-ray observatory, a five hundred million dollar space telescope. According to Ars Technica, the spacecraft lost communications and suffered failures in its reaction wheels and cold gas thrusters. Katalyst Space Technologies operates Link under a thirty million dollar NASA contract, and the mission is to reach Swift, grab it, and boost its orbit before atmospheric drag causes the aging telescope to burn up.
