Firefighting helicopters collide near Athens as Greece fights spreading blazes

Two firefighting helicopters collided west of Athens as Greece battled spreading wildfires across multiple fronts on Sunday. France 24 reports that strong winds are worsening the blazes and hampering firefighting aircraft, and a search and rescue operation is underway following the collision. Swaths of forest and agricultural land have been destroyed.
