Fire spread deeper into Athens region

Two firefighting helicopters have collided while battling a wildfire west of Athens, according to France 24, and a search-and-rescue operation is now underway for the two-person crew aboard each aircraft. It's part of a wider crisis across Greece, where the Prime Minister has warned of extremely difficult days ahead as fires burn on multiple fronts, dozens of homes have been damaged or destroyed, and three firefighters have died this week.
