Gironde megafire contained: Nearly 3,000 firefighters remain deployed

France's massive Gironde wildfire near Bordeaux is now contained, France 24 reports, though some parts of the blaze are still burning. Most of the two hundred thousand residents who evacuated have returned home, after a fire that scorched an area four times the size of Paris.
