US, Israel to hold off on Iran strikes
politics
Trump has reversed course on plans for major strikes against Iran, announcing Saturday he would hold off provided a deal can be reached quickly. The decision, France 24 reports, followed a call with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, who reportedly urged de-escalation over concerns Iran might retaliate against the Kingdom and other Gulf states. Trump said Israel has joined him in this commitment, though Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has yet to comment publicly.
